How to Clear Acne Naturally

How To Clear Your Breakouts Naturally

Acne is the most common skin condition in the world yet there are so many myths on what causes it. You name it, I’ve heard it.

“Wash your face more”

“Leave your skin alone for a while”

“Go out in the sun more and dry it out”

I’m here to shed some light on this topic and share with you the Top 3 most common acne myths I hear ALL the time.

How to clear breakouts and acne naturally

MYTH #1: If you wash your face more, your acne will go away.

Wrong. Acne has nothing to do with how many times per day you wash your face. Although good skincare practice is extremely important in the fight against acne, if you wash your face ten times per day your skin won’t suddenly clear overnight. Over washing can also strip the skin of its natural oils, which means moisture needs to be added back on and that leads to the need to buy more skincare products. When using a new cleanser make sure it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight.

Tip: Cleanse your skin with a gentle, natural cleanser morning and night. Rinse well with clean water. For an effective anti-acne natural cleanser, we recommend our Green Tea Cleanser

MYTH #2: Leave your skin alone and the acne will clear on it’s own.

Wrong. Leaving your skin alone and hoping for the best is not going to magically clear your acne. You could be waiting months or years for results doing this. The worst part is, results may never arrive. Acne affects people of all ages, so if you think it will go away once you get older, you may be wrong.  In order to achieve clear skin you have to be ready to overhaul your entire life, this includes the way you eat, think and things you do.

Tip: In order to take control of your skin and regain your confidence you must be proactive in the fight against acne.

Vitamin C and Probiotic are both amazing for reducing breakouts. Check out our Blueberry Vitamin C Serum and Probiotic Face Cream.

MYTH #3: Go out in the sun more and dry your acne out.

Wrong. Sun damage is responsible for 95% of wrinkling so it’s recommended to always wear a sunscreen when outdoors, even in the middle of winter! Truth is, the sun can actually make breakouts worse. Particularly if you are already prone to acne! UV rays can damage the skin and weaken the barrier, causing a loss of moisture. This can lead to overproduction and overgrowth of sebaceous glands resulting in blackheads.

Tip: Always wear a sunscreen and remember to cover your neck, décolletage and the back of your neck.

Melvory Top Acne Clearing Products

"It is possible to clear your skin naturally using the right skincare regime." - Elaine, Founder.

It's time to banish those pesky breakouts and keep your skin looking clear and healthy! Don't worry, you won't need to sell a kidney to pay for expensive treatments or suffer from side effects. Here are some natural remedies that will help you achieve that smooth, clear skin you've always wanted. Let's dive in!

Exfoliate regularly.

Exfoliating is important to unclog pores, remove dead skin cells, and stimulate cell turnover. Our Dragon Fruit Face Scrub is a gentle and effective exfoliant that can help reduce breakouts and reveal smoother, brighter skin.

The scrub contains fruit enzymes from dragon fruit, which work to break down dead skin cells and unclog pores, while also delivering powerful antioxidants to protect and nourish the skin.

Unlike harsh chemical exfoliants, the gentle fruit enzymes in this scrub won't cause micro-tears or irritation, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive or acne-prone skin.

This dreamy jar of pink scrub smells like strawberry sorbet and using it is like  having a mini spa treatment for your face!

Try our Turmeric Charcoal Mask.

Turmeric, charcoal, and clay are natural ingredients that can be effective in reducing acne breakouts. These ingredients work by absorbing excess oil, unclogging pores, and reducing inflammation.

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce redness and swelling associated with acne.

Charcoal is a natural ingredient that can absorb excess oil and impurities from your skin. It can also help unclog your pores and reduce the risk of breakouts.

How to use: Apply the paste onto clean skin with the brush provided. Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. We recommend doing this 3 times a week.

Eat a healthy diet.

Your diet can also play a significant role in the health of your skin. Eating a healthy diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants can help reduce inflammation and promote clear, healthy skin.

Some of the best foods for clear skin include:

  • Fruits and vegetables: These are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and protect your skin from damage.

  • Whole grains: These are a good source of fiber and can help regulate your hormones, which can reduce the risk of breakouts.
  • Healthy fats: Omega-3 fatty acids, found in foods such as salmon and avocado, can help reduce inflammation and keep your skin healthy.

Did you know that we have an Acne Clearing Kit? This set is a powerful combination of 4 products formulated to reduce breakouts and to help improve acne-prone skin. In addition to a gentle cleanser, Vitamin C serum and Probiotic Face Cream as mentioned above, it also includes our Orange Blossom Toner which is a refreshing mist to help reduce acne, blemishes, white heads and black heads. If you're not ready to commit to a full set, good news! We also have a mini trial kit. Scroll right in the tab below to view the products mentioned.

Reduce stress.

We saved the best for last! Stress can cause breakouts by increasing oil production, and that's why it's important to reduce stress in your life. Try relaxation techniques like meditation, deep breathing, a warm bath to help you unwind and do your best to get enough sleep (when the kids allow it lol).

There you have it! These natural remedies can help you clear your breakouts and maintain healthy, glowing skin.

Remember to be gentle with your skin, and don't forget to smile. You got this!

Let me know if I can help you in anyway 😊
