This is a good question, but perhaps not nearly as helpful as, ‘Will I See Results?’
Everyone’s skin behaves differently.
The science is this: some people regenerate new skin cells as quickly as every 3 weeks, others 6 - 8 weeks.
So whenever you try out a new skincare product or regimen, give it 3 months minimum to assess whether you see results and whether it’s the right product for you (unless you experience irritation in which case we recommend that you discontinue use immediately).
We get it … 3 months is a long time to wait. Especially when you’re trying to combat an immediate skin problem, such as acne.
There is some good news, however.
Some people may experience more immediate changes within the first few days or weeks of using a new product, such as:
- increased hydration levels
- increased softness
- reduced irritability and discomfort
- glowing skin due to cell turnovers
Customers often report experiencing increased softness of the skin and increased hydration with just one application of our face mask.
Longer-term, more substantial changes may be experienced within the first three months of using a new product, because that’s how long it takes for the skin’s collagen metabolism to occur. The skin’s collagen metabolism is the driving force behind changes such as:
- Improved texture and tone
- Reversed signs of aging
Consistency and regularity are key, so don’t throw out your serum or cream if you don’t see changes overnight (you’ve bought the product anyway, so why not give it a good go!) Long-term anti-aging and improved skin health benefits from increased collagen production will take at least 2 - 3 months for visible changes, and will keep improving thereon.
If anyone tells you that their products can achieve similar results within a quicker time-frame, we would question the assertions. Either they are telling you an un-truth (a nice way of saying a lie) or they are jamming their products with chemicals for quick-fixes which may be harmful in the long-run.
At Melvory, we’re all about feeding your skin with high quality, naturally derived ingredients (just like you would feed your body with water, fruit and vegetables, all the things you know are good for you!). What this means is that glowing and healthy skin is within reach, but it won’t happen overnight and it will take time.
The wait is completely worth it because with the right products, your skin will glow and thrive, and regenerate in the way that it’s designed to. Our body is magnificently designed and created. Trust the process and use the right products to support your skin.
