1. Are we an Australian owned company?
Yes, we are a 100% Australian owned company.
2. Where are our products manufactured?
Professionally made here in South Australia.
3. Are we in it for the profit?
To be transparent, all businesses are in it for the profit. We need profit to hire Australian staff, rent Australian warehouses, use Australian logistics and pay Australian taxes to sustain the country’s economy.
4. Do we make much profit?
Unfortunately not. We source and work with suppliers that meet our strict code of conduct, at the end of the day, we will be taking home 5% profit if we are lucky! We are a start-up, this means we are buying smaller quantities and paying a higher price, we are normal people like you, trying to launch a sustainable business.
5. Are we expensive?
We are not, and allow me to break it down for you. The price of alcohol has now gone up by 10 times, and it’s now costing us $70 for 1L of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. Add in $50 freight for flammable liquid. Packaging is $2, sticker is $2. We also use premium organic Aloe Vera gel, organic vegetable glycerin and natural Vitamin E so that your hands don’t become dry and start cracking. When someone orders above $69 from our website, they get free shipping. This $9 of postage cost is absorbed by our business. We then have to pay our staff a wage. We are doing whatever we can to keep our staff employed. The profit is not much when you do the maths. Any extra money we get, we make a batch of hand sanitisers and donate them to nursing homes and to our elderly neighbours.
p/s: Many of the cheap hand sanitisers found at supermarkets these days are made in China or P.R.C.
6. How are we giving back to the global community?
Besides giving away free sanitisers to our aged care workers (who often get forgotten), we continue to support our food ministry program in Nairobi, feeding hungry children where starvation is a very real and everyday problem.
